I left off at obedience precedes emotion. If you haven't used that yet, it could mean two things. You have a blissful marriage or you haven't had a disagreement yet.:) According to my notes, SELF (selfishness) gets in the way of obedience. I would have to agree with that. More from my notes:
~Communicate your goals to your spouse.
~Do you want to "be" right more than you want to "do" right?
~Do you want to "give" life more than you want to "get even?"
~Does Proverbs 31 hold true for you?
~Does the heart of your husband safely trust you?
~Do you protect your husband's flaws? Do you protect him like a fragile egg?
~What is that one thing you want to change about your marriage? Pray it.
~Are you having trouble forgiving? If so, your prayers are hitting the ceiling and not the heavenly gates. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear. Psalm 66:19
~What do you hold against your husband?
~How is your heart with God?
