So we get our USCIS (visa) approval in the mail yesterday. Steve never had the chance to call the senator, looks like he didn't have to. Amazing...That means fingerprints were promptly processed. (Thank you for prayers for quick processing). We were told it could be up to eight weeks for approval. We get this Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) notice in the mail congratulating us on approval. That was much needed good news because earlier that day we were turned down by the second financial assistant program. Emotions have been up and down for sure. We were told that giving is way down this year and there is just not enough funding at this time to assist us. OK, so we tell this woman that we are still hopeful because there is one other organization we are waiting on. She asked what organization we were waiting on and Steve told her only to find out that they are not active. That might explain why we haven't heard from them. These are definitely hard times for everyone. Every time I get down about it, God does something to assure me that this will happen very soon. We thought things would be held up by USCIS. Honestly, I was kinda hoping it would, only to give us more time to save for plane tickets. Something tells me God has another plan. I think our little girl needs us soon and God will do everything in His power to make it happen. Have a terrific weekend! We will be enjoying a track meet invitational in the humidity. Can't have it all can we? We'll take it though, track is way cool!
